Chrujda has to fight for his love with crafty Smradolf the polecat. Our smooth-furred heroes find themselves in a secret cave full of dangerous creatures trying to do them in. Brave Chrujda beats his rival not through strength but through courage and resourcefulness, finally convincing Anička that he is the one for her. The humorous illustrations of the various creatures of forest and meadow are by the outstanding artist Lucie Dvořáková, whose previous illustrations have won great acclaim.
